Listen, I’ve been trying to convince mom to do a dog quilt for *ever*
After designing our Homestead collection, which features elements like farmland, cotton balls, ginghams, and subtle line art prints, we realized that this fabric was the ideal canvas to showcase a variety of large dogs (the Great Dane appliqué measures 30″!).
Homestead was conceived to complement the farmhouse chic aesthetic, emphasizing not a farm-themed design, but rather a fabric that would be at home in quilts found on a traditional homestead.

I was so excited to see this quilt in the quilt shop and had to have it. Upon getting home and taking things out of the bags I have to say it’s the worst pattern I’ve ever seen. The Applique pieces are on 8-1/2×11 paper and only parts of the animals and other things are there. There will be a lot of quess work on my part. For a pattern that’s $18.95 it should be much better than it is. Very unhappy but I’ve spent the money on this and the fabric so I’ll make the best of it. I will never purchase or recommend your patterns to anyone. I purchased the kit and pattern from Pine Needles in Utah.
