New Fabric Collection- Blue Goose

We are so excited about this new collection! Find it here! Blue Goose by meags & me for Clothworks.

Filled with your favorites- small basic prints & florals + the geese cannot get any cuter!

A nice mix of blues and just enough mint green makes this a very versatile collection!

We’ve designed EIGHT new patterns to accompany this line- we can’t wait to show you!

Here is a closeup of one of our favorite prints:

The little beetle bug!

No overpowering orange- just enough to add a little pop of color.

Fabric Mask List

Hey everyone!

In the CDC’s latest recommendation for preventing the spread of Covid-19, they have suggested everyone wear a cloth face cover when they have to go out in public.

There are a lot of tutorials out there for this! We’ve complied a list here so you can easily find the best way to make face masks for you and your family.

Ifyou’d like to donate, here is a list of organizations in need of sewn masks.

Stay safe everyone!

(Temporary) Free Pattern!

With the quarantine situation from Covid-19, we’re cooped up at home too.

For the next two weeks, you can download our Chirp pattern FOR FREE here: PDF Chirp

It’s an easy appliqué, hand-embroidery quilt that can easily be made with scraps. Better too, it’s a great spring/summer quilt that will be sure to cheer you up for the next little while.

We loved working on this one & know you will too! Use #meagsandme on instagram to share your progress pics!

Most importantly- stay safe everyone!

Kansas City Quilt Market 2019

What a whirlwind!

Besides the fact that everything that could go wrong, basically did- we had a GREAT show.   There were a lot of (unnecessary, as it turns out) trips to Office Depot via Lyft. We probably could have bought a car for all the Lyft fees

We taught a quick schoolhouse class about big appliqué and showed off our new fabric line Rosewood that will be released this fall. (& you guys- it’s beautiful & super versatile!)

Also, our social media guru “&” (as she declares herself), is gone until January 31 (not that we’re counting days or anything), and so we have very limited pictures of this whole thing (dang it).

But it was fantastic to meet new shops and catch up with quilt shops we already know and love.

We have a nice line up of patterns coming soon. We will post again when they’re available on our etsy page and with our distributors.

Just a quick look at what we’re working on adding:

New dishtowel embroidery patterns! 5 designs included, all super funny.

Doodle-doo! I’m (personally) obsessed with this geo-diamond print and it looks fantastic with these flowers!

Blue Skies- this quilt is appliquéd in blocks before sewing the whole quilt together. Easy & a great result!

Dandelion- get it?

Fa La La- this collection is great for Christmas & throughout multiple seasons.

+ a few more! Stay tuned!

Big thanks to family & friends who helped embroider things for us, watched babies, listened to endless rants and near breakdowns - sometimes we can’t help it. Also, big thanks to all the Lyft drivers who let us stop at sonic for much needed Diet Coke and we’re still so sorry it took so long

Kansas City Quilt Market 2019

This weekend!

As usual, all wholesale orders are 10% off! Free gift (while supplies last) for orders over $115. We have new quilt patterns & new stand-alone embroidery patterns that are all very cute!

If you’re at schoolhouse, we’ll be there talking about big appliqué & our new fabric collection with Clothoworks. We’d love to see you!

Secret Garden Collection

We are so excited for our first fabric collection, Secret Garden, with Clothworks.

It’s a beautiful mix of muted blues, greys, and greens with florals and birds. So naturally, it’s our favorite.

It’s right on the line between whimsical and serious and we had a lot of fun designing this line and working on the coordinating patterns.

Pattern Testers Wanted!

We are looking for both the accomplished seamstress and the very beginner who have sewing machines capable of machine embroidery to test our new patterns before they are officially published.

This Me Without You quilt is the current project we need testers for.

We love machine embroidery, and are happy to finally be able to offer some of our patterns in this format!

**If you are interested, please contact meagsandme@gmail.com- please say “PATTERN TESTER” in the subject line and answer the following questions:

*Name

*General sewing skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced, or years you’ve been sewing)

*Brand of machine (make/model if possible) (i.e. Bernina, Brother, Janome, etc)

Testers will receive embroidery files to test (and quilt top instructions) via email, and a exit survey/short questionnaire to complete once the quilt has been made up. Feedback is always welcome during the quilting process!

Testers that send the exit survey within 3 weeks of receiving the embroidery files will receive a complimentary copy of the official pattern once it is published.

Quilt Market Recap 2018

Almost 3 months late…. we’ve been (thankfully & happily) so busy!

It was our first time in Portland, and we absolutely adored everything about it, especially the cool, overcast weather- we are missing that lately!

It took us a long time to set up the booth. We always scale out our booth and have a precise plan, but for whatever reason, it just didn’t quite come together and we had to move quilts around so it looked “right”. The biggest change was moving our llama quilt so it was draped over the fantastic wheelbarrow thing we found. This led to us personally showing it off frequently, and watch everyone bust up laughing, because it is the greatest pun we’ve ever come up with:

Justin Bieber would be a fan, I think.

My favorite part about this whole quilt is the llama’s little bird friend. I mean, come ON.

We’d add a bird to everything. It’s a running joke between the two of us, so now we actively look for places to add random birds.  I like it.

But anyway, we were happy to be close to lots of fun and delicious restaurants, and we had a lot of fun playing in the city-  uber-ing around everywhere, ordering pizza at 2am, and waking up at 5am because I couldn’t sleep and somehow *not* watching the royal wedding (I don’t know how that happened either!), walking to voodoo doughnuts, which we had no idea existed in not the best part of town, but we throughly enjoyed eating 13 ridiculous doughnuts that night. Also, Portland seems like a Pepsi city, so we were missing Diet Coke a tiny bit.

We found the cutest sign company who did a lovely job making our logo come to life and it was definitely one of my favorite parts of our booth this year.

We had a lot of fun designing our quilts to coordinate with each other this year because we are naturally drawn to blues/greens and once we designed the main back wall quilt, everything else came together quickly.

C’est La Vie Retail: $16 (Small) and $36 (Large)

Two sizes available for this beauty! Also, we loved this bird so much we made a small wall hanging too.

Early Bird Retail: $10

The number of new quilts/patterns we did specifically for this booth was incredible (9!), and it’s sort of amazing we pulled it off. Thank you, always and continually, to our quilter who rush quilts everything for us all the time

Wonderland Retail: $18

Frolic Retail: $16

So much floral motif this year- which means everything was juuuust the way we like it

This was an old pattern, but we loved it so much we re-made it in new (matching) fabrics.

Spring Morning Retail: $16
Chirp Retail: $12

The best part of every market is connecting with so many amazing people. We love the energy, finding new cool things (these are our new fav find!), and laughing with each other so much that our abs hurt. We are always so overwhelmed by the sheer number of gorgeous booths and talented people.

New patterns can be found here- these are links to PDF copies- print from home and get started right away! Check your local quilt shop for paper copies, and email us at meagsandme@gmail.com if you’re interested in wholesale.
